Academy Update

posted 25 Sept 2013, 04:26 by Niall Fahy

Our U8 and U6 Academy players had their first games since the summer when Whites Cross visited the Tank Field on September 21st to play two hurling games.

We had a great turnout of players and supporters for the games with many lads togging out competitively for the first time in the club’s famous blue and white jerseys in what was a proud occasion for their parents.

The players did not let the club down and showed in their performances the benefits of the coaching and training sessions they have been attending. The coaches were very pleased and proud of the lads’ performances, good behaviour and sporting attitude.

We expect these U8 and U6 players to play more games over the coming weeks and there is no doubt that they  will continue to improve and develop for these games if they continue to attend the coaching sessions each Saturday morning.

Keep up the good work lads.

Special thanks must go to Whites Cross, the parents and the coaches for making the day a great success.
