Understrength Junior (B) Footballers Beaten By Lough In League.

                      A depleted Brian Dillons Junior (B) Football team went under to Lough Rovers in the City Division Junior (2) Football League on a 3-9 to 0-9 scoreline ,on Wednesday evening, 1st August 2012.
                    Fielding without eight of their Championship team,due to holidays and work committments, Brian Dillons were overpowered in the second-half of this well contested game. The opening half was an even affair with the sides level at the interval.... Brian Dillons,0-6; Lough Rovers,1-3. The Brian Dillons side were dealt a real body blow when Lough Rovers scored a goal in the first minute of the second -half. Now chasing the game ,Brian Dillons tried extremely hard to stop the game from slipping away from them and, with ten minutes remaining, they were still trailing by 2-6 to 0-9..However, the Lough completely overpowered the Brian Dillons side in the remaining minutes, adding another goal and three points without reply from a well beaten Brian Dillons team.
                 This was the third defeat in this League for Brian Dillons and they cannot afford to drop any further points in their two remaining games against Whitechurch and Douglas,if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.
                  Scorers against Lough Rovers were;James Horgan,0-3; Mark Buckley,0-3; Kevin Varian, John Noonan and James Varian,0-1 each.
