                          The Brian Dillons Junior (C) Footballers are through to the semi-final of the City Division Junior (C) Football Championship ,again, as a result of their splendid, 2-11 to 0-8, victory over Nemo Rangers, at Ballinlough on Wednesday evening, 24th July, 2013. Continuing the form they showed in the previous round against Bishopstown, the Brian Dillons team were most impressive and are determined to capture the title this season after agonisingly losing last years final to Ballinure.
                    Forced to field without Ken McCarthy(injured) Kevin Allen (holidays) and Kevin Varian (injured) , from the victory over Bishopstown, the Brian Dillons Management found more than adequate replacements in James Varian, Kristian Dennehy and Mark Walsh (Murmont).    Firing on all cylinders from the throw-in, the Brian Dillons side laid siege on the Nemo defence, but some wayward shooting cost them several scores and it took all of eight minutes to open their account when Mark Walsh (Murmont) pointed after receiving an excellent pass from Tossy Kelleher. Seanie O"Dwyer increased the Brian Dillons lead ,with a pointed free, one minute later.. Two mistakes by the Brian Dillons defence led to Nemo pointing twice in the space of a minute and the Trabeg side edged in front with another point from a free after fourteen minutes play.One minute later, Brian Dillons were awarded a penalty kick which was effieciently dispatched to the back of the net by Seanie O"Dwyer to put his team ahead, 1-2 to 0-3.  Nemo responded to this setback with a point two minutes later and the game was turning out to be most entertaining.. Michael Peters, who was causing all sort of problems for the Nemo defence, put over a point after eighteen minutes ,to which Nemo repied with a similar score from a free, one minute later. Three minutes later, Brian Dillons dealt Nemo a deadly blow when Tossy Kelleher finished the ball to the net after some great approach work by Kristian Dennehy and Michael Peters. Further points by Seanie O"Dwyer (free) and Michael Peters (two) ,to which Nemo replied with a point of their own, left Brian Dillons leading, 2-6 to 0-6, at the interval.
               Nemo Rangers began the second half in determined fashion with two points ,in the opening ten minutes to which Seanie O"Dwyer replied with a pointed free.  Nemo continued to threaten the Brian Dillons defence but with little success due to the spirited resistance of John Shek, in goal ,Derek McDonnell and Ciarain Kelleher, in particular.. After lifting the siege, Brian Dillons took over, again, in the closing ten minutes and further points from Seanie O"Dwyer (free), Mark Walsh (Murmont),Eoin Hennessy, and sub. Eric O"Donoghue sealed an emphatic, 2-11 to 0-8, victory. The Brian Dillons scorers were; Seanie O"Dwyer, 1-4 (0-4 frees, 1-0 pen. ); Michael Peters, 0-3; Tossy Kelleher, 1-0; Mark Walsh (Murmont), 0-2;Eoin Hennessy and Eric O"Donoghue ,0-1 each;    The Brian Dillons team lined out as follows;
