Junior (B) Hurlers off to good start in League.

The Brian Dillons Junior (B) Hurlers began their 2012 League campaign with two good performances over the weekend.
On Friday evening,23rd March, they travelled to Pairc Uinsinn to take on the home side,St.Vincent, under lights. An impressive first half performance saw our side ahead at the interval by 1-7 to 0-4.    
   Brian Dillons maintained the advantage throughout the second half and emerged victors by 3-12 to 2-9. The Brian Dillons scorers were;
James Horgan,0-9(0-6 frees}; Ben Wharton,1-2; Philip O Brien,1-0;Stephen Kearney,1-0; and Tommy Boland,0-1;
 
                    The second game of the weekend took place in the Tank Field on Sunday morning ,25th March with the Brian Dillons second string
 taking  on Douglas.This was a thrilling exhibition of hurling from start to finish. Douglas led at the interval by 1-5 to 0-6. Some impressive point scoring appeared to swing the game in our favour during the second half but two further goals kept Douglas in contention.The final score was  Brian Dillons,1-16; Douglas,3-10.     The Brian Dillons scorers were; Philip O" Brien,1-4 (1-0 free); James Horgan, 0-6 (0-3 frees); Tommy Boland ,0-3; Ben Wharton,0-1; Conor Close,0-1; and Mark Horgan,0-1;
