The Brian Dillons (B) Junior Footballers failed in their bid to reach the final of the City Division Seandun Cup (Junior 2 Football ) when they went under to Championship winners, Rathpeacon,  on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-6, in Pairc Diolunaigh, on Wednesday evening, 4th December, 2013. After a competitive opening half in which Rathpeacon held a slender two point lead, 1-5 to 1-3, at the interval, the Brian Dillons challenge collapsed in the second half and they were well beaten in the end. Anthony O"Sullivan was only able to field a shell of a team as a large number of his panel had been promoted to the clubs first team throughout the season. Scorers for Brian Dillons were; Andrew Daly, 2-0; Damian Horgan, 0-2; Andrew Murphy, Kevin Allen, Michael Peters and Dave Coughlan (free), 0-1 each.
