                The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Hurlers remain unbeaten in this years City Division Junior (1) Hurling League as a result of a hard-earned victory over a tough Passage team ,at the Passage venue on Sunday morning, 21st April,2013. The final score was ; Brian Dillons, 1-20; Passage, 2-11;
                Passage showed that they were really up for this game when they got their first goal after just thirty seconds play and they continued to cause problems for Brian Dillons ,throughout the first half , with their no nonsense physical approach. They had raced into a 1-2 to nil lead .before John Horgan opened Brian Dillons account, with a pointed free, in the tenth minute of the opening half.  The Brian Dillons players gradually began to get to grips with the tough physical exchanges and with some well executed scores, including a bullet of  a goal by Niall O"Sullivan, they surged into a1-8 to 1-4 lead after twenty seven minutes of the first half.  However, they were dealt another body blow in the dying embers of the first half when Passage struck for their second goal which left Brian Dillons ahead by the minimum of margins, 1-8 to 2-4,at the interval.
              The second half saw Brian Dillons in control of the game and they had stretched their lead to 1-19 to 2-8 with just five minutes remaining. Team Manager, Kieran O"Mahony had emptied his bench at that stage and full credit to a game Passage side for battling right to the final whistle and they were rewarded with three further points in the closing minutes of the game. A satisfactory outing for the Brian Dillons team and they will, surely, benefit from the tough physical exchanges ,which they experienced in this game.
