Junior (A) Hurlers Maintain Unbeaten run with Co. League win over Ballinhassig.

                      The Brian Dillons Junior (A) hurlers maintained their unbeaten run with a 1-13 to 1-12 victory over Ballinhassig in the quarter-final of the County Junior (A) Hurling League, which was played in Pairc Diolunaigh on Thursday evening, 25th October, 2012.
                    Fielding with just seven of the team which started in the County Championship final ,the previous Sunday, the Brian Dillons mentors decided to give some of the fringe players a chance to impress in this League quarter-final.
                Brian Dillons led throughout this game and were ahead 1-5 to 0-6 at the interval.  Several more personnel changes were made by the Brian Dillons selectors during the course of the second half ,but, they were still ahead ,1-11 to 0-8, with ten minutes remaining.  Ballinhassig were right back in the game when they goaled in the 21st minute of the second-half and managed to get on level terms with time running out.    Brian Dillons sealed victory with an injury time point scored by Maurice Carey from out around the middle of the park.
           Considering the team that lined out, this was a creditable victory for Brian Dillons,which helped them to maintain their remarkable unbeaten record in all competitive games this season.
