The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Hurlers, playing their third game within six days,maintained their unbeaten run in the City Division Junior (1) Hurling League with a comfortable, 2-21 to 0-11, victory over Whites Cross, at the Whites Cross venue, on Friday evening , 4th July, 2014. So, after seven games played in the League, Brian Dillons top the table with maximum points and are well on their way to retaining this competition, which they won in 2013. There are two more League games fixed for the coming week, with Passage coming to Pairc Diolunaigh, on next Tuesday evening, 8th July, and an away game to St.Vincents on Saturday, 12th July. Brian Dillons were never troubled by Whites Cross and playing a lovely brand of stylish hurling, they cruised into a 0-13 to 0-4 interval lead. The Brian Dillons half-back line of Daniel McCormick, Mark White and Dave Cremin, in particular, were in tremendous form in this opening half. The second half continued with Brian Dillons in control and Manager, Billy Cashman, was able to introduce his five substitutes during this half hour.
