John Horgan scored 8 of our points in this half, with 7 coming from placed balls. John Noonan and Tomas Lawrence looked dangerous in possession during this half forcing the Nemo defenders to concede numerous fouls, which John Horgan duly converted. We got off to a great start to the second -haif when Tommy Boland scored an opportunist goal and John Horgan put over another point to give us a lead of 1-10 to 0-4 after just 5 minutes. It looked at that stage that we would coast to victory. However, Nemo got a firm grip on the game with their haif-backs and mid-fielders being particularly prominent and by the 25th minute they had reduced the deficit to just 3 points. Two further points by John Horgan put us 5 points ahead again as the game entered stoppage time.Nemo added another point in the 31st minute and, after our defence made a rare mistake, they found the net in the third minute of stoppage time. The full-time whistle sounded on the puck out and we were winners on the scoreline of 1-13 to 1-12.
