                           The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Football team suffered their first defeat of the 2012 season when they went under to Douglas, 3-4 to 0-15, in the City Division Junior (1) Football League which was played in Douglas on Monday night, 30th April.
                          This was, without doubt , a dreadful performance by the Brian Dillons side and a big improvement is required if we are to challenge for Championship honours this year. Admittedlly, we were up against an excellent Douglas team, whose point scoring was impeccable, while our side wasted numerous scoring opportunities with some wayward shooting. We managed to register ten wide balls in the opening half while our opponents had just a solitary wide ball.. Douglas led 0-8 to 1-1 at the interval.
                       While our scoring rate improved in the second half, we still managed to chalk  up another nine wide balls, with Douglas availing of every scoring chance that came their way. Two late goals for Brian Dillons left Douglas ahead by two points and our side were left pondering that they could have won if their shooting had not been so wayward earlier on.
                     Brian Dillons scores came from Cillian Brosnan,1-1(0-1,45); Edmund Hussey,1-0; Michael Peters,1-0; John Horgan,0-2,(0-1free); and Dave O" Leary,0-1;
