Junior (A) Footballers Back To Winning Ways.

                          After their dismal performance,against Douglas, two days earlier, the Brian Dillons Junior (A) Footballers got back on the winning trail with an impressive,3-14 to 1-7,victory over Passage in the City Division  Junior (1) Football League which was played in Pairc Diolunaigh on Wednesday, 2nd May,2012.
                         Playing some attractive and unselfish football,the Brian Dillons side raced into a 1-5 to 0-2 lead after fifteen minutes play with the goal coming from the boot of John Horgan. Passage got to grips with the pace of the game in the second quarter and a string of well-taken points left them just two points behind as the half -time break approached. However.a second Brian Dillons goal, expertly netted by Tomas Lawrence, saw Brian Dillons ahead ,2-5 to 0-6,at the interval.
                       Brian Dillons opened the second half scoring with a Philip O"Brien point but ,Passage responded with a goal and a point to leave just two points between the sides with twenty minutes remaining. A third Brian Dillons goal,scored by Shane Maher after good work by Dave 0"Leary broke the resistance of the Passage lads and Brian Dillons,with a string of well taken points ,emerged comfortable winners on a 3-14 to 1-7 margin.
                 The Brian Dillons scorers were; John Horgan,1-3 (0-3 frees);Tomas Lawrence,1-2;Michael Peters,0-4;Shane Maher,1-0;Philip O"Brien,0-2; Niall Fahy, Cillian Brosnan and Dave O"Leary ,0-1 each.
