The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Footballers got over the first hurdle in the 2012 McSwiney Cup competition  with a comfortable, 3-13 to 0-14 victory over St.Vincents, at Pairc Diolunaigh on Tuesday evening, 14th August, 2012.  Fresh from their Championship victory over Delanys, the previous week, the Brian Dillons team played some sparkling football in the opening half-hour as they scorched into a 2-9 to 0-4 interval lead, the goals coming from Dave O"Leary and Cillian Brosnan.

          The second-half saw St.Vincents, now with wind advantage, making more of a game of it although they never got close enough to worry Brian Dillons. They did manage, however, to kick some splendid points but a third Brian Dillons goal, scored by Dave O"Leary, ensured that the homesters were going to emerge as comfortable winners.
