The Brian Dillons Junior (2) Hurling squad maintained their unbeaten run in the 2012 City Division League with an impressive, 3-17 to 1-11,victory over Lough Rovers at Pairc Diolunaigh on Wednesday,6th June,2012. A spectacular scoring performance by centre -half-forward,James Horgan, who scored a remarkable tally of 3-12, was the main factor in this Brian Dillons win... His accuracy from placed balls was unerring and his three clever goals in the opening half broke the heart of the Lough Rovers challenge. Brian Dillons led at the half -way stage by3-9 to 1-8. Brian Dillons dominance continued in the second -half and with the Loughs frustration leading to the concession of numerous fouls which were duly punished by the accuracy of James Horgan.,the game was decided well before the final whistle. With five victories and one draw from their six games played, the Brian Dillons team are in a challenging position to reach the knock-out stages of this League. However they face an extremely difficult game on next Tuesday evening, 12th June, when they face Whitechurch who are the only other unbeaten team in this competition..
