The Lough started this game in great style with a goal and two points in the opening five minutes.  Admittedly, they were playing with the advantage of the stiff breeze but they completely dominated the proceedings in the first half against an out of sorts Brian Dillons side who had to wait until the 26th minute for their first score, a pointed free from James Horgan. At half -time the Lough held a 1-6 to 0-1 lead and things were not looking good for Brian Dillons.
