Facile Win for Junior (A) Hurlers over Passage in League Game.

                 The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Hurlers made it nine wins from nine games played in the City Division Junior (1) Hurling League when, on Tuesday evening, 15th July, 2014, they recorded a facile, 6-28 to 0-5, victory over a much depleted Passage fifteen, which was played in Pairc Diolunaigh.  The game was well done and dusted after only  twelve minutes play when Brian Dillons had charged into a 4-12 to 0-1 lead. The remainder of the game was a  mere shooting practice exercise for Brian Dillons against a young Passage side, who looked well out of their depth. It was 5-18 to 0-3 at the interval and the referee brought an end to Passage"s misery, when he called a halt to proceedings after only eighteen minutes of the second half had elapsed. Scorers for Brian Dillons were; John Horgan, 1-11 (0-3 frees); Cian McCarthy,1-6; Kevin Varian, 2-3; Cillian Brosnan, 1-3; Dave Coughlan, 1-0; Dave Cremin, Keith McCormick, Niall O "Sullivan, Dylan O"Donoghue and John Noonan ,0-1 each. The Brian Dillons team lined out as follows; Andrew Murphy; Maurice Carey; Darragh Rodgers; Stephen Kearney; Niall Fahy; Mark White; Dave Cremin; Shane Maher; Keith McCormick; Cillian Brosnan; Cian McCarthy; Brian Barrett; John Horgan; Niall O"Sullivan; and Dave Coughlan;   Subs; Kevin Varian for Dave Coughlan (Injured, 8 mins.); Ken McCarthy for Brian Barrett, Dylan O"Donoghue for Shane Maher,and John Noonan for Keith McCormick (All second half).
