Our U10 hurling team competed in the finals of the Rebel Óg U10 Summer Hurling Leagues in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Monday September 12.
The training and effort put in by the players certainly paid off as they put in a great display winning all three games in their section, beating teams from Blarney, Youghal and Glen Rovers.
All the players were presented with their medals in the Covered Stand at the Páirc.
The evening was a fantastic success and a great reward for the players who had played in the league games and had attended training on Saturday mornings over the summer.
The team showed a good improvement throughout the year and played better with each league game. Coach, Dan Cassidy, congratulated the players and encouraged them to keep attending for coaching each Saturday morning at 11am in the Tank Field to ensure that they continue to improve.
The players can now return to their schools with some great games and experiences to tell their friends about and maybe to try to get on the school team.
The Brian Dillons team which took part in the finals was:
Colin O’Brien, Daniel Kelleher, James Drugan, David Garvan, Cian Walsh, Kian Boyd, Danny Cashman, Adam Curtayne-Gardiner, Kieran O’Gorman, Tom O’Gorman, William Shine, Alan Kavanagh, Jordan McEvoy, Michael Funchion, Mark Coffey, Cole Kelleher, Joe Garvan. ![]() |
