Recent run of Bad Weather puts paid to Weekends Football League games.

posted 25 Mar 2013, 12:13 by Willie Horgan
The recent spell of inclement wintry weather has caused the postponement of the Brian Dillons Junior (A), Junior(B) and Minor Football League games which were scheduled to be played during the past few days.   First game to be called off was the Minor Football League tie against Whites Cross which was to be played on last Saturday afternoon out in Pairc Diolunaigh ,which was deemed unplayable due to the torrential rain of the previous few days. A similar scene surfaced on Sunday morning when the Whites Cross Ground was ruled out for the Junior (2) Football League game and to complete the three days of postponements , tonights (Monday) Junior (1) Football League game against Douglas has been cancelled as Pairc Diolunaigh is still unplayable.  All three games will be refixed at a later date.
