The Brian Dillons Junior (C) Football team contest the final of the City Division Junior (C) Football Championship against Ballinure, on Saturday next, 15th September, 2012 , in Ballinlough with a 6.00pm throw-in.
The performances of this team, our third Junior Football side, has surpassed all our expectations and they have  shown considerable improvement in every game.   Delanys provided the opposition in the opening round of this Championship with a late, late goal giving the Dublin Hill side a second chance as the teams finished level at 3-7 each.  Brian Dillons dismissed the Delanys challenge in the replay on a 1-9 to 1-6 scoreline and then they faced a fancied Nemo Rangers team in the next round, .  After a terrific game, Brian Dillons emerged victorious on a 1-13 to 2-8 scoreline which put them through to the semi-final.  Rochestown provided the opposition in the semi-final which was played in Ballinlough on last Tuesday evening, 11th September,2012. After a hard -fought first half, the sides were level at the interval...Brian Dillons,0-7
Rochestown,1-4.  A storming second half performance by the Brian Dillons side saw them cruise to a 3-13 to 1-7 victory and qualify for next Saturdays decider.
Best wishes are extended to the team ,ahead of Saturdays final, and also to Team Manager, John Martin Shek and his selectors.
We are hoping the players will put in a super effort to succeed, especially for popular selector, Anthony "Bonesey" O"Sullivan, who will miss Saturdays game as he is recovering from a recent illness.
