All roads lead to Ballinlough G.A.A. Ground on next Friday evening, 16th August, 2013, when the Brian Dillons Junior (A) Hurlers make the third defence of their title, which they so gloriously won last September, when they meet St.Vincents in the quarter-final of the City Division Junior (A) Hurling Championship, which has a 7.00pm throw-in.
Having already accounted for Douglas and Delanys in the earlier rounds of this Championship, the Brian Dillons followers will be hoping for another victory on Friday evening. However, their opponents, St.Vincents, are always tough Championship contenders, and are certain to give Brian Dillons nothing easy on Friday. After losing their first round game to Whites Cross, St.Vincents recovered from this shock defeat to beat Bishopstown in the Losers round and, then went on to convincingly overcome Passage in the third round, showing a marked improvement in every game. Also, they will be buoyed up by the success of their Footballers over Clonakilty in last Saturdays County Senior Football Championship and will be quietly confident of creating another surprise result against Brian Dillons.. It has all the ingredients of a classic game and it is hoped that al our supporters will be in attendance to cheer on the lads on Friday evening.
