Junior (A) Hurlers Contest McCurtain Cup Final.

The last game of the 2012 hurling season takes place on tomorrow evening, Friday, 7th December, 2012, when the Brian Dillons Junior (A) team lineout against Na Piarsaigh in the final of the McCurtain Cup, out in Pairc Diolunaigh with a 7.30 pm throw-in.   Brian Dillons, City Division Champions and County Championship runners-up, will be hoping to complete a highly successful season by capturing another trophy tomorrow night, a competition which they last won in 2007.  Na Piarsaigh, however, will be difficult opponents ,as they proved a few weeks ago. when they had a controversial one point victory over our side in the League semi-final.  Controversial because the game actually ended level but ,the referee had credited Na Piarsaigh with a "mystery" point which put our team out of the League after we had recorded a clean sheet of twelve victories from twelve games played  in the ordinary rounds, earlier in the season.  Several players were missing from the Brian Dillons team, through injury, in that particular game and ,now, with some of those players available tomorrow night, hopes are high that we can turn the tables on Na Piarsaigh on this occasion.
