Brian Dillons were deprived of winning  the drawn encounter when the referee failed to award a free , in the dying seconds of the game, when Darren McGrath was dragged to the ground , in the "Barrs parallelogram, as he was in possession of the ball. Friday nights game presents Brian Dillons with an opportunity of avenging that result and capturing a much deserved football trophy for the first time since 2004.  Fridays game will also, double up as the semi-final of the McSwiney Cup competition.
