The Brian Dillons Junior (A) Footballers begin their 2014 Championship campaign  ,at Ballinlough ,on next Sunday morning, 11th May, 2014, when they face St.Nicks in the first round of the City Division Junior (A) Football Championship,. Throw-in is at 11.30am. Brian Dillons were runners-up in the 2013 Championship when they were beaten by St.Finbarrs, after a replay, going under by just three points. Brian Dillons , however, went on to finish the season in style by capturing the City Division Junior (1) Football League title and the McSwiney Cup  competition , also..Their League form has been quite good ,so far, this season with four victories and one loss from the five games played.. However, they have been plagued with injuries, during the past few weeks, and Team Manager, Alan Whelan, will be hoping for a full bill of health from the players by Sunday.   Their opponents on Sunday, St. Nicks, are renowned Championship competitors, and, nothing, but a top class performance will suffice if Brian Dillons are to succeed and avoid having to go through the dreaded Losers round.
