Junior (A) Footballers Bid to Reach Championship Final at Third Attempt.

Having been beaten in the semi-final for the past two seasons, the Brian Dillons Junior (A) Footballers will be hoping it will be third time lucky when they face Whites Cross in the City Division Junior (A) Football Championship semi-final, at Ballinlough on tomorrow, Sunday, 15th September, 2013, with a 12.15pm throw-in. However, nothing but a top class performance will suffice if Brian Dillons are to reach the final of this competition for the first time since 1999..In the earlier rounds of the Championship, Brian Dillons recorded victories over St. Michaels (2-6 to 1-8) and Bishopstown (0-11 to 1-5) without setting the world alight and a much more convincing performance is required if victory is to achieved on Sunday..It would be great for the club if the team can reach this final, especially after the Hurlers relinquished their title , a few weeks ago.
