With the end of the 2013 season almost upon us, two of the Brian Dillons Junior Football teams have important Cup games arranged for this week. First into action are the Brian Dillons Junior (B) Footballers who meet Rathpeacon ,in the Seandun Cup semi-final, out in Pairc Diolunaigh on tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, 4th December, 2013, with a 7.30pm throw-in. Brian Dillons were in sparkling form in their comfortable victory over Whites Cross , in the previous round, and a repeat of that display could well earn them their ticket to final of the competition. On next Friday evening, 6th December 2013, the Brian Dillons Junior (A) Footballers attempt to add the McSwiney Cup to their recent City Division Junior (1) Football title triumph, when they face the holders, Whites Cross, in the final, which is also fixed for Pairc Diolunaigh at 7.30pm. Having already beaten Whites Cross in both the Championship and League semi-finals ,this season, Brian Dillons will be hoping to complete a treble success over their great rivals, on next Friday. However, it must be remembered that Whites Cross have a fantastic winning record in the McSwiney Cup and they will make strenuous efforts to retain the trophy on Friday. A great game is in prospect. |
