Our U10 football team took part in a football blitz at Aghada GAA club on 20th August.
The team played a total of 7 matches against Aghada, Youghal, Killeagh, Midleton, Carrigaline, Erins Own and Eire Óg. All the training done by the players paid off as they won 5 and drew 1 of the games played. At the end of the blitz the players were presented with medals by current Cork footballer and All-Star Pearse O’Neill who also congratulated them on their performance.
Everybody had a fantastic day and we thank Aghada GAA club for their brilliant organisation and for inviting us to take part.

Manager, Dan Cassidy, was delighted with the players’ performance and encouraged then to keep up the training every Saturday at 11am in the Tank Field. He also thanked the parents who helped with transport to and from Aghada.
It’s back to hurling now for the Under 10’s for the next few matches who will play both Whitechurch and Passage shortly. You can find some photo's from the day in the Club Photos section. |
