Our Junior "A" Footballers went under to Douglas ,1-10 to 1-6, in the semi-final of the City Division Football Championship ,played in Pairc ui Rnn on Tuesday,Sept;27th,after a hard fought game.A late first-half scoring spree, which yielded 1-3 in the closing 5 minutes, eased Douglas into a flattering 1-8 to 0-4 interval lead..

Our team dominated the proceedings in the second half but found it difficult to penetrate a solid Douglas defence and some wayward shooting by our players did not help our cause.Lack of Football activity due to our involvement in the Junior and under-21 Hurling Championships was another contributory factor to this defeat. The Brian Dillons team and scorers were as

1.James Kirby 2.Niall Fahy 3.Paul Attridge 4.Mark Walsh 5.Tom Triggs 6.Tomas Lawrence 7.Darragh Brosnan 8.Chris Daly 9.Cillian Brosnan 10.Stephen Crowley,{0-1] 11.John Horgan'{0-5;} 12.Dave O Leary,{1-0} 13.Philip O Brien 14.Brian Barrett 15.James Horgan Subs; Darragh Rodgars for Darragh Brosnan;Shane Maher for James Horgan;Cian McCarthy
