On last Sunday morning, 1st February, 2015,  Brian Dillons G.A.A. Club lost another one of it"s loyal sons when news filtered through that Barry Kelleher had passed away, unexpectedly, at home. The Club members struggled to come to grips with the  news of Barry"s death, at the relatively young age of 47 years.   Barry ,or Tanner as he was affectionately known to his friends, was a life long Member of Brian Dillons ,since he first played with Ballyvolane in the Brian Dillons Street Leagues, at the age of 7 years, back in the early 1970"s. He graduated through the under-age ranks,in which he won medals at under-13, under-14, under-15 and under-16 level, the highlights being County under-16 Football Championship (1982) and County under-16 Hurling Championship (1983) medals, wearing his beloved Blue and White shirt.   Barry was a member of the Brian Dillons Minor Hurling team which defeated Na Piarsaigh in the 1984 City Division Premier Minor Hurling Championship final, and subsequently were runners-up to Midleton in the County Premier Minor Hurling Championship final. Barry continued with his outstanding playing career, at adult level, winning several trophies, including City under-21 Hurling Championship (1985), City Junior (B) Football Championship (1989),  and Junior (A) Hurling League (1996 and 1998).  When his playing career came to an end, Barry, continued to serve Brian Dillons diligently, serving in the capacity of selector to a number of club teams , at every level. He was a regular supporter at most of Brian Dillon"s games , throughout the City and County.    The huge attendance at ,both, his removal, from Barry Bros. Funeral Home, and his Funeral Mass and Burial at Kilcully Cemetery, were testimony to the esteem that Barry was held with his friends and fellow Club Members.     To his heartbroken mother, Maura, brothers, Jerry and Damian, and sisters, Marieosa and Denise, we extend our deepest sympathies, on their tragic loss.
