We were delighted to host Fr O'Neills, Erins Own and Crosshaven for the first U8 Blitz on Sunday. Despite a few illnesses we were still able to put out a second team although the full forward line in the third half of one match of Kellie, Orlaith and Rose will be eligible for a good few years yet. Fr O'Neills put us under pressure for the full game but Caoimhe's exploits in goal kept a clean sheet for the first half where she was ably assisted by Saoirse, Katelyn and Molly who often got the ball up the field to Meadbh and Molly(yes, we have two!). On the main pitch we had Danielle and her cousin Aisling as a dynamic duo (although rumour has it that one Dad decided to support the "boys in green" rather than the "girls in blue") with Mai and Faye supporting Eva, Una, Theia, Roisin and Sally. Special thanks to the older girls who came along to help, Aine, Clare, Kelly and Ciara and of course our debutant "whistler" Ellen.
