Our U16 team were beaten by Ballinhassig in the championship today. The final score of 4-5 to 0-5 did not reflect the game. Dillons gave it everything and didn't get any breaks. At H.T we were four points down and well in the game. Ballinhassig got some soft goals and we couldn't recover. Our points came from Kate x2, Shannyn x2 and Siofra. We had some great performances. Captain Caroline was superb, Kate worked really hard and Steph coming back from injury ran herself in to the ground. But it was Shannyn's performance that stood out, she was immense and was certainly the best player on the field. It was a hard match but played in the best of spirits. Ballinhassig are a good team and we wish them well in the championship.
