Our U16 team showed how tough they are by digging deep to snatch a great win against Eire Og at the Tank. This was a great battle and credit must go to both teams who gave it everything in a low scoring game. Siofra hit the post early on and then Katie made a great save. Eire Og scored two points and Siofra got our first point after twenty minutes. H.T score 0-1 to 0-2. Eire Og scored their third point before Steph put over one for us from a free. We were competing well all over the pitch with Eve, Caroline, Molly and Kate outstanding. In the last few minutes we got what we deserved, after a goal mouth scramble the ball ended up in the net after a deflection off the Eire Og keeper. A great win which keeps our semi final hopes on track however we must take our chances and must be more clinical in front of goal. F.T score 1-2 to 0-3.
