Our U16 team had a tremendous win against St Finbarrs in the Quarter Final of the Championship.  The game was played under lights at Whites Cross on November 27.  The Barrs got two points before Sinead Mills put over a fine point from play.  Jessica Aigbologa then scored two goals within a space of ten minutes to put us in control.  Sinead Mills added a third goal and this was followed by two more  points, one from Rachel Carroll and one from Siofra Deane.  The H/T score was 3 - 3 to 0 - 3.  The Barrs scored an early goal in the second half which brought them right back into it, however the impressive Sinead Mills scored four points from play within the space of five minutes.  We proved too strong in the closing stages and scored two further goals, one from Lauren Barry and one from Kate O Connell.  This was a real team effort with every player contibuting and working hard. Our back line of Lucy, Niamh and particularly Deirdre are in tremendous form. Shauna Cronin is covering fierce ground and Lauren Barry was outstanding at wing forward. A semi final against Millstreet awaits however we first have the league final next Sunday at Castle Road at 11.30am against Ballinhassig.
