Our U13 team have won the Seandun Shield and are worthy champions. Played in Castle Road, they were up against a fancied Na Piarsaigh team but Dillons wanted this shield more. We were outstanding in the first half. A goal from our impressive centre forward Aine and a point from the classy Olivia G were decisive. We played out of our skin and restricted Na Piarsaigh to just two points. Cameron on goal did everything asked of her with a clean sheet. Our defence of captain Clare, Kelly and Aoife were absolutely brilliant. Our half backs of Ellen, Leah and Zoe were outstanding. Olivia and Ruby's speed around the middle of the field was incredible. Courtney, Jane and Aine battled and fed the full forwards of Olivia, Tara and Chloe who gave it their all. Emily, Zoe B and Sinead came on and worked hard. Niamh, Sophie who unfortunately is injured and Ciara were also there to collect their well earned medals. Ellen was awarded the player of the match. Johnny, Liz and Susan Kate couldn't be prouder of all the girls and its great to finish the season with a trophy. Dillons Abu.
