Our Senior team kept their unbeaten run going today with a home win against Barryroe at the Tank. We won by eight points but in reality it was a lot closer than that. An impressive start with a class long distance point by Susan was followed by one from Clair. Barryroe had a good ten minute spell scoring 1-03 without reply but we did exactly the same in the last eight minutes of the first half. A goal from Jane and points from Lauren, Clair and Sinead put us ahead at H.T 1-06 to 1-03. Two goals from Clair in the second half was the difference between the two teams. Barryroe worked hard but were rellying on scores from frees to keep in touch. Their five points in the second half all came from frees. Additional points from Sinead and Clair made the game safe for us and the final score was 3-10 to 1-08. Our work rate was tremendous and our hard training is clearly paying off. Saoirse was rock solid in goal today, Sinead's work rate was phenomenal but it was Amanda who stole the show, she was awesome. Next up is Carrigaline.
