Our Club's first Senior match in over twenty years proved to be a successful one with an impressive win away to Carrigaline. We worked hard last year to reach this standard, and we did our Club proud this evening. Every player gave it their all and coach Kieran was very impressed with our first outing of the season. In truth we were dominant from the start. Against the wind, a point from Shauna and a goal from Caoimhe settled us down. Points from Sinead and Jane and a second goal from Caoimhe put us in control at H.T 2-3 to 1-1. We made five changes during the second half but it didn't affect our positive work rate and attitude. We were adamant we wanted a win and two points on the board. We got some beautiful scores in the second half. Class points from Susan and Clare, and goals from Shauna and a third from Caoimhe closed out the game comfortably for us. F.T score 4-9 to 2-5. A great start but plenty of work to do in training. |
