Minors Impress Despite Defeat.

Our Minor team were beaten away to Sars but our overall performance was superb. Sars are a very strong side but we matched them in all areas of the pitch. It was a cracker of a game and we had great support behind us. We went down two points early on before Anna hit the back of the net following a flowing move. Sars scored a couple of soft goals but we didn't drop our heads. We kept battling and our reward came from Sinead who scored six points, four from play and two from 45's. H.T score 1-6 to 3-5. We made a few changes to mix it up and they worked well. Our work rate was phenominal. A goal from Lucy, a point from Rachel and another from Sinead wasn't enough. F.T score 3-8 to 4-11. Abbie made some great saves in the second half and her puck outs were outstanding. Caroline and Niamh were awesome. It's easy to see why Niamh is the best full back in the County. Eve, Shannyn and Makela are a very solid half back line. Steph ran herself in to the ground in midfield. Essie's performance was special, thats what she's capable of. Lucy, Sinead and Molly caused all sorts of problems, particularly Sinead who is a special talent. Up front Anna and Rachel were dangerous and Hannah and Sasha played their part when brought on. This performance will no doubt stand to us come Championship.Well done girls.
