Our Minors bounced back well following defeat to Kilbrittan with a great win away to Cloughduv. This was a real team performance against a very good side. We started really well again with a point each from Essie and Sinead. Cloughduv got one back before we scored two class points from Sinead and Lauren. Cloughduv scored a point from a free but we countered straight away with another point from Sinead. We were really playing well at this stage and amazingly we hit the post three times within two minutes. We kept working hard and got our reward when the impressive Sinead scored a lovely goal just before H. T. We were solid in defence with Niamh at her best despite being under the weather for the last few days. Essie and Caroline were excellent at half back. In the second half Lauren got a goal in the very first minute. From then on we were in command. Points from Essie and Sinead followed before Lauren got her second goal. In reply Cloughduv got a goal and two points before Sinead scored another goal and a point. We made a few experimental changes which allowed Cloughduv to score two consolation goals but in truth the game was won by then. F.T score 4-8 to 3-4. A great result which now puts us in the league semi final.
