Our Intermediate team have reached the league final following victory over Enniskeane at the Tank. However, we were fortunate, we did not play well. Our defence and midfield were solid but we were poor up front. In the first half we had 80% possession but incredibly we had ten wides. We were passing too much ball when we should have been taken our points. At H.T were 0-4 to 0-0 up having played with the wind. Our points came from Lauren x2, Sinead and Susan. We knew Enniskeane would come out strong and they did. They scored four points, two from play and two from frees to level the game. Credit to Dillons we finished strong with points from Sinead and Lauren before Susan rattled to net, which settled it. F.T score 1-6 to 0-4. We're in the league final but we have to take a good look at ourselves. That performance won't do in the final against Blackrock or Tracton. On the positive side, Emer, Niamh and Alison played really well. Amanda was at her best, Ruth worked hard and Shauna was outstanding once again.
