Our Intermediate team had a comfortable win against Blackrock in the league on Sunday April 27 at the Tank Field. We were completely in control in the first half with the score at 3-7 to 1-1. Goals came from Orla Lawrence, Caoimhe Rodgers and Shauna Cronin. Caroline Craugh and Emma Sharpe scored a point each and Sinead Mills put over three points. Our midfield of Susan Kate Brosnan and Shauna Cronuin were dominant and there was plenty of quality ball supplied to our forward line. In the second half Caoimhe scored her second goal and some quality points followed from Sinead, Susan Kate and Claire Dooley. Final score 4-12 to 3-6. Overall a comprehensive win. The positives included some quality points from play, players calling for the ball when in space and our defence once again were very solid. The negatives from this game is that we conceeded a couple of soft goals and this is something that must be addressed in training. Having lost to Enniskeane, this was an important victory. |
