A great night of celebrations followed at the Tank after our county final success. All the players, their families, friends and supporters attended and we had a great night. A massive thanks to our committee for getting the club prepared and for serving up delicious food. Chairperson Mary O Sullivan spoke of her pride of being county champions and how important it was to our club. Coach Linda Mellerick thanked her management team and the players for their commitment without which we wouldn't have succeeded. Captain Caroline spoke passionately about the friendships formed in the squad and yes her words brought tears to some. Singing and dancing in to the early hours followed and we had a real treat in the form of a male stripper, yes you guessed it, Mick O. There is a real buzz around the club at the moment and I guess the challenge now is to lift it to another level. The intermediates have set the standard with promotion to Senior B and all our other teams must look closely at their structures in an effort to bring more success to Brian Dillons.
