Dillons and Cashel ended in stalemate in the Munster Summer League at the Tank. Cashel are a tough side and this was a big test for us as we were missing some first team players. Cashel scored the first point from a 45, and they scored another 1-3 from play in the first half. In reply we got three points, Caoimhe from a free and Therese and Sinead from play. H.T 0-3 to 1-4. We had the wind in the second half and were far more competitive. Therese and Caoimhe put over class points to bring us right back in the game. Sinead was moved in full forward and caused havoc. She scored a fantastic goal and two points from play in the space of a few minutes. In reply Cashel score four points, three from play. We were a point down in the last few minutes before Caoimhe scored a great point from a free from a tight angle. The game finished 1-8 to 1-8 which was perhaps a fair result. Lots of positives again, we were five points down but brought it back. Shauna had a great game in goal and Alison at wing back was fantastic. Many thanks to our committee for putting on a great spread for our visitors which they greatly appreciated.
