Our senior warriors once again produced an awesome display this evening against Clonakilty to reach the semi final of the senior B championship. It was a thrilling match, which we came out on top by 2 points having showed bottle and a desire that our opponents couldn't match. We wanted this victory so bad you could feel it. It was a cracker of a game from start to finish. It was tit for tat in the first half with the Dooleys causing fierce damage. Jane got 1-1, Clair got 0-4 and Amanda got 0-1 to leave us a point up at H.T, 1-06 to 1-05. The second half was just as tight, where once again the Dooleys were the stars of the show. Clair scoring a further 3 points and Jane scoring 1-1, the goal being crucial as we were in the last few minutes of the match. We won on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-08. Shauna was outstanding in goal. Shannyn was awesome in wing back. Steph and Essie in midfield were outstanding. Amanda once again set the example and Shauna having come on at H.T caused the Clonakilty defence big problems. To reach the semi final of the championship in our first year up in this grade is a fantastic achievement. We probably have a two week rest now before the semi final so we will recover, train hard and prepare well like we always do. WARRIORS once again.
