On Sunday last, Dillons and Enniskeane played out a very exciting draw in the Junior A camoige final held at Castle Road. In front of a large attendance, both teams appeared to be nervous on this big occassion. In the first half, Therese Drummond scored 3 points, Jane Dooley and Donna Carroll also scored 1 point each. Against the run of play, Enniskeane got a goal and at half time the score was Dillons 0-5 to Enniskeane 1-3. The second half was fiercely competitive and for a 10 minute spell Enniskeane were well on top, Dillons dug deep and points from Caoimhe Rodgers, Jane Dooley & Therese Drummond kept Dillons in touch. At 3 minutes into injury time Dillons were awarded a free which Therese Drummond converted to level the match. The full time whistle blew, the final score was Dillons 0-11 to Enniskeane 1-8. Dillons were well supported on the day and we hope that similar support will be present for the re-play which is next Saturday, 20th at 4pm in Castle Road.
