Our U18 team were comprehensively beaten by St Finbarrs in the league final, held at Castle Road on September 22. Dillons started brightly and were well in the game after 15 minutes. We then had a couple of bad wides and that seemed to unsettle us. The Barrs then upped their game and in truth, we had no answer to them. They scored some superb points. In the end it was a route. The final score was 1-21 to 0-1. For us Shauna Walsh was outstanding in goal. Our defence were under pressure all day and worked really hard particularly Niamh Cotter at corner back. Shauna Cronin in midfield and Sinead Mills at wing forward put in good shifts. Credit to Dillons they kept going to the finish. On the day the Barrs were 'Different Class'. Congratulations to them, they were superb.
