Our U 14 team were beaten by Mallow in the quarter final of the league at the Tank field on September 6. With the aid of a very strong wind Mallow were completely dominant in the first half, and at H.T the score was 3-5 to no score. Dillons re-grouped and went at Mallow right from the start of the second half. An early goal from Kate O Connell and two goals from Shauna O Mahony brought us right back in to it. Lucy Burke and Shannon Mc Hale were dominant around the centre of the field. Unfortunately Molly Garvin got injured and had to be substituted and that unsettled us. Mallow scored a goal almost immediately and that was the turning point. The final score was Mallow 4-6 to Dillons 3-0. Credit to all the players for getting back in to the game and especially Stephanie Mangan who was by far, the best player on the pitch.
