Defeat For U14's in Féile Semi.

Our U14 team were beaten by Grenagh in the Féile semi final but they did Dillons proud. The game was played at Camogie H.Q which was a first for most of our young players. The game was a very exciting contest between two committed teams who wanted to reach the final. We were running the game in the middle half of the pitch but we struggled in defence against an exceptional full forward for Grenagh. At H.T we were 1-2 to 3-4 down, Anna scoring 1-1 and Chloe with one point. We upped our game in the second half and created numerous opportunities but couldn't capitalise. Chloe got an early goal which gave us huge encouragement. Hannah got a point, Olivia got a lovely goal and points followed followed from Anna ana Eve. However we conceded a few soft goals which was our downfall. Final score was 3-5 to 6-6. A great game played in great spirits. Abbey was excellent, Hannah and Anna were outstanding in midfield and Olivia and Chloe worked really hard. Best wishes to Grenagh in the final, they are a good side. Our girls behaviour following a tough defeat, once again is notable. This result will prove a great experience for us. Reaching the semi final was an achievement in itself. Well done to our girls, ye did your best and that's all that was asked of you.
