Our Senior team lost their first round championship match tonight against Barryroe. The match was played in Enniskeane on a beautiful evening. We started well with points from Lauren, Clair and Sinead before Barryroe took control. We somehow conceeded four goals in a ten minute spell. Our response were points from Jane, Sinead and Susan. At H.T we were 4-5 to 0-7 down. Ten points is a lot to catch up but we were determined to give it everything which we did. A goal each from the Dooley's gave us hope and at one stage we were within three points. But it wasn't to be. We gave ourselves too much to do. Barryroe won on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-10. A briliant effort from the squad. Susan and Lauren were outstanding and both Molly and Shauna impressed when they came on. We lost Emma following a heavy challenge and she's shook up at the moment, but she'll be fine, she's as tough as them come. Next up is Blackrock in the second round.
