Our minor team were beaten by Killeagh in the championship at the Tank. With fifteen players and no subs it was a big ask against very talented opposition. With the wind in the first half, we were excellent. Our work rate was superb and we put over five points, one from Rachel and Lauren and three from Sinead. At H.T we were 0-5 to 0-1 ahead. Caroline was not feeling well and went in goal and Siofra was moved to the forward line. Lauren got the first point in the second half before Killeagh took control. They scored 2-6 without reply. Our defence were running on empty after giving their all. Sinead put over two more points before we conceded a last minute goal which looked like a square ball. F.T score 0-8 to 3-8. Despite the defeat their were lots of positives..Mickela, Niamh and Deirdre were magnificent. Molly and Shannyn worked really hard and Shauna was the best player on the field. Essie in midfield and Sinead at half forward ran themselves in to the ground. The championship is Round Robin so we're still in it.
