Dillons were beaten by Newtownshandrum in the Intermediate Championsip on Saturday August 10. The game was held in Mallow. Dillons were very competitive in a tight first half. A goal from Shauna Ring and points from Therese Drummond and Claire Dooley helped keep the score level at H.T 1-3 each. Newtown proved too strong in the second half but Dillons remained competive to the end. Second half points came from Therese and Shauna. The final score was Newtown 4-8 to 1-5. The score line did not reflect the match. Dillons were well in this game until the last 10 minutes. Every player from number 1 to 15 gave their all and they left the field with their heads held high.
