September was another busy month, the U 18's took part in a blitz held at Blackrock, we won the Plate Final on the day. The underage girls went to Castle Road to an open training session held by the COrk Senior Camoige Team prior to the All-Ireland Final. The girls had an opportunity to have photographs taken and autographs signed by the team. Dillons hosted the U 11 Sean Dun Go-Games at the tank Filed, Dillons Blackrock and Bishopstown took part. The Juniors played Na Piarsaigh in the Championship at Castle Road, Dillons won 3-9 to 2-3. Jane Dooley was 'man of the match' Late in the game Na Piarsaigh had 2 players sent off. The U 16 side travelled to play Ballinora in teh Championship which they won 5-6 to 2-4. Caoimhe Rodgers was again outstanding on the night. Our U 12 team went to The Glen to play in the Go-Games. The U 18's went ot Ballygarvan to play in the Championship and won 6-9 to 3-4, Chloe O'Mahony and Caoimhe Rodgers were among the goal scorers. A bus load of Dillons players travelled to Croke Park to support the Cork side in the All-Ireland Camoige Final against Wexford, despite the result a great day was had by all. Dillons went to Na Piarsaigh to play in the U 11 Go-Games, Shannon McHale was outstanding. Dillons went ot Castle Road to take part int eh U 12 Go-Game Finals, Dillons hammered Cloughduv on a score of 8-2 to 0-0, goal scorers included Anna Myers, Kate O'Connell and Shauna O'Mahony. Our U 16's played Ballinora in the Championship at the Tank Filed, in a one sided affair Dillons won 5-12 to 0-1, Rachel Carroll scoring a hat-trick of goals. |
