Our Senior team lost their 3rd championship match against Mallow which was played in Grenagh. We were beaten by a better team on the night but we must acknowledge we didn't play well, we are much better than this. Playing with a strong wind in the first half, Mallow took full advantage scoring 2-08. In reply we scored three points from Clair, Caroline and Jane. We created two good goal scoring chances but couldn't finish. We made two changes at half time and started the second half strong with two early points from Clair. Mallow scored some nice points to keep ahead. Two frees from Clair and points from Amanda, Shauna and Emma wasn't enough and Mallow won on a scoreline of 2-12 to  0-10. We are still in the championship and our fourth round match against Clonakilty is now more significant. If we win we qualify for the semis, its as simple as that. We will take this defeat on the chin, dust ourselves down and work hard in training in preparation for the match which is scheduled for Saturday next August 27th.
